Dagmar Mirabal, LCSW-QS
President
Dagmar graduated from Barry University with a master’s degree of Social Work and an undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist with over 12 years of experience working in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. She also serves as a state-qualified supervisor in her field.
She previously worked in community mental health, where she worked with a diverse population, providing psychotherapy and crisis intervention to children and families. This experience has further honed her skills in addressing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges across different age groups.
Dagmar specializes in working with individuals who have experienced various types of trauma, as well as helping clients dealing with issues such as stress and anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, as well as issues related to motivation, self-esteem and confidence.
Using a collaborative approach, Dagmar helps her clients address and acknowledge negative patterns, engage in better decision-making, build stronger relationships, and create attainable goals. She is trained and certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). She utilizes both cognitive behavioral and integrative psychotherapeutic approaches, emphasizing the exploration of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
